Dr. Ken Spaeth,occupational and environmental medicine directorat North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System was the first to begin to solve these puzzling patient cases back in February. Spaeth reported to the FDA on 20 patients between ages 12 and 75 with what he deduced were symptoms of anabolic steroid consumption.
